California Wildfire Photos Stun Residents of Area

The flames were mostly in the vicinity of Tehachapi located almost 80 miles north of Los Angeles. Kern County is under a state of emergency declared by Arnold Schwarzenegger, the Governor of the state. The declaration allows money to be made available for state workers to help with the blazes.

Dozens of houses were destroyed in the area with hundreds of firefighters battling the blaze which has been fueled by dry conditions as well as the wind.

No cause of the flames has been declared as of yet and is under investigation
